Yes. I have been on Disability since I was 18-19. Because I am on disability I also get Medicare.
Yes, you will definitely collect social security with diagnoses of epilepsy, there are many different types of social security income SSI, SSDI, SSA, and more. I believe one of the best ways to get the best faster is a social worker. I'm not sure about where you see your neurologist but I know where I see mine have an epilepsy department where they have a social worker in there that can be very helpful getting success 🎊in that area. Good Luck and Wish You the Best 😎! TAKE CARE!!!

I ended up on a local health program through my local hospital. Just to get my anti seizure medication and see a PCP.
Turned out to be the Best and Longest road ever. I met the Mayor of my town and it turned out she Volunteered @ the hospital. She advised me to get a Lawyer to file for disability. She even gave me the name of a Lawyer group that specializes in Disability cases. I’m thankful that I was able to get the help I needed.
2yrs 6 months later. My Attorney and I went to Court. I was now over 50 & special circumstances came into play. Because of my age, it was uncertain if I would ever be able to work again. I had been working all my life until this point. I laterally had lost everything due to seizures. I was having around 19 seizures a month after being put on medication. I have been through 10 different seizures meds. Have experienced multiple types of seizures and still don’t have answers.
Scaring has been found in many different areas on my brain. Some old and some new. The last MRI showed that my brain has lost volume due to the medication I’ve been on for the past three years. Of course I’m on my 3rd Neurologist, 4th Primary Care Physician and still waiting to see an Epileptologist. I personally don’t care about the seizures anymore. I roughly have 4-5 a month now. Still not able to drive legally, but still hold my DL just in case. Not all States allow that.
If you want to apply for disability. GET A LAWYER. I highly recommend it.
