I have tonic-clonic seizures and while my seizures are really well controlled I still have break through seizures every 3-4 years. The last 2 seizures were only 6 months apart which is kinda of scary for me. I am currently on 3 AEDs and still live with the fear I will have another seizure at any time. Sorry to be such a bummer.

I’ve had epilepsy for 33 years going back to when I was in elementary school. I’ve never had my seizures under control. I’ve even tried the Vagus Nerve Stimulator (VNS) and now have a Neurostimulator (RNS) but continue to have seizures.

I’ve had Epilepsy since I was near the age of 2yrs old. And never been able to control my seizures 100% . I have what the Epilepsy Field call Fractory Epilepsy. Basically the I’m resistant to the AED meds . They don’t control my seizures fully.

My DBS ( deep brain stimulator ) help my meds control my seizures better. Even though my seizures have reduced , I still have them
