Growing up my mom called me a social butterfly, I made friends easily and was always busy. Well she never knew who I was with or if playing on a sports team or at a friend's place or we were roaming around playing. It wasn't till my bad seizures in my 40s that retired me from my job that I didn't see people. After I was doing better I saw a few friends that were left. 1 had a father-in-law with epilepsy and we got together every Saturday night for dinner and play cards switched whose house every week. That was my social life. They moved close to the gulf at retirement for fishing. Talked about it for years. So now I have numerous friends but they all live over an hour or more away. The only person close by is a sister who in her mind leads such a busy life. Never worked, but oh she has to go to this store or that store or walk her dog which has to be done at certain times every day so it's hard to get her shopping in. If they ha e workers in the yard she has to be there to supervise everything. She's a micro manager. She did manage to drop in on a dog walk last month to hive me a birthday card talking about what treasure I was and how special it was to have me as a sister, she said I'm the only sister she has left to it was fitting, our other sister pasted away last year. I thanked her and asked when we could get together. She said she is just too busy right now. I've called her and she's I've got just a sec it important? So so much for the card it was just words but they weren't from her . I was very close to my other sister and they didn't get along. I get along great with my brother too and she is tolerated by him but his wife won't have anything to do with her a more. It's sad really but they don't live near here and she behaved rudely at their house when they were guests. So I see why she doesn't have friends but is always busy to avoid people.
Me I like my solitude at times but I love spending time with my hubby! I'm involved at the church which is great. Plus I love going to church services and visiting with people afterwards.

Due to being a high functioning autistic, bullying, and Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, I am mostly an introvert that stays away from people. In 2020 the lockdowns actually improved my mental health - prior to that I was working at a Thrift Store that did some damage to my mental health (I got them back in the end since I anonymously reported them for two false burglaries they staged; they closed permanently the week before the lockdowns happened and were being investigated). I now work online as an editor; my interactions are minimal, which I like.
