I have had a SEEG before. They drilled holes in my head everywhere and wrapped it with a cast. I didn’t really have to do anything to get ready for the SEEG. The doctors shaved my head so I didn’t have to worry about that. The first 2 or 3 after the surgery I couldn’t get out of bed, then for a couple days I could lay in bed or sit in a chair. They both had alarms. Then after 4 or 5 days I could walk around with my doctors. But like I said I didn’t really have to do anything to prepare. Good Luck.

The SEEG is like a normal EEG except they drill holes all the way through your skull and place wires on your brain

What is SEEG? I have had Subdural electrodes implanted on the surface of my brain prior to my second brain surgery. It's taken 3 surgeries and 44 years to get me on the correct combination of medication. Now my seizures are controlled.
