I don't think your neurologist would agree to stopping all medication and switching to herbal medication completely. I won't touch herbal medication as I don't believe it works. We're all different and have different types of epilepsy and seizures.

I do not believe only herbal would work for anything. Of course, I am not a Neurologist. Are you saying they agreed you could do to get you off all AEDs? Get a second opinion.

I am not trying to shift to CBD and completely stop AEDs but gradually, if my neurologist agrees, otherwise no need to change AEDs.
Thanks for everyone's positive feedback.

I doubt your neurologist will agree with this, and it's not because they want to feed you with meds. Basically AED meds are made to shut down your brain as much as possible to prevent excessive brain activity and thus reducing the chances to get "short-circuits" in the brain. Herbal supplements can't shut down your brain or fix the electric activity or the abnormal neural connection that lead to these episodes. If there was a plant that could cure epilepsy it would have been discovered by now.
On the other hand there are ways to worsen the seizures with natural remedies, Gingko Biloba is one example and I experienced it myself, so you could do more harm than good. And I am not advocating for meds, God forbid, they do not even seem to work in my case, but natural remedies won't work either.

You can change from medications to herbal supplements. I have to question if they have been tested with other types of seizures? Will herbal supplements work with your type of seizure?
