Med For Complex/complicated Migraine
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

I take Ubrelvy for migraine which I have had most of life. However, it doesn’t do anything for complexmigraine which I have now been blessed with. Anyone use a pain relieving med for this successfully?

I’m definitely going to ask my neuro about fioricet. The ubrelvy is taken at onset but by the time it starts to work (2 hrs later) the migraine is kicking my behind. Thanks for info!

Its taken at the onset, but it works very quickly. We both get migraines very often, my mom and i, i get 3-15 per month. I was put on trokendi as an epilepsy medicine when i was 12 to also help with migraines, but it doesnt much, and its bad for young women who’d want kids so theyd prefer to take me off of it. It could give babies cleft lip/pallette.

Thank you Mackenzie! Is fioricet taken daily as a preventative or just used at onset of migraine?
