Unsure if the meds are controlling seizures enough to even worry about going through the procedure.

A sleep study (‘S’ in S-EEG?) is really the only way to truly characterize the variety and activity of the seizures over time. Only then will the doctors know if your medications should be adjusted or changed to achieve optimum seizure control. I have had 2 done, and one of them helped my doctor know to change my medicine. I’d recommend it if you’re still having events, especially in your sleep (which are often a cause of SUDEP, when oxygen levels fall below a certain level). I wish you the best of luck, and I hope you stay safe, healthy and as seizure free as possible…

This will help your Dr. Pinpoint and map a more direct area of where your seizures are.

I have drug-resistant epilepsy and I’ve had a SEEG. Besides they took me all the way off my meds because they wanted to see more seizures so they could gather more info
