Every couple of years I have seizures then my Dr wants to try something new or ups the dosage. The meds I'm on now are making me dizzy and off balance

I am allergic to most everything haha I get all the bad side effects
That said, your body will get used to meds and you'll have to get an increase. I've been bounced all around with medications. I've come to the place that I've accepted that, like it or not I need meds to have a semi normal life. So, it is what it is. Brain surgery and all. I need the little devils

I have found Keppra works best with the least side effects for me. We are all different though. They have had me on so many different meds over the years too. Its very frustrating trying to find the right balance that works for your body.

I have been on too many meds to count. I was on phenobarbital, volume, Dilantin, Depakote, Topamax, and vimpat just to name a few. My son is on Trileptal, Keppra, Onfi, Depakote (two, 250 mg, and 500 mg), and xocopri. He too has been on so many different meds. He also has the VNS and recently had the ablation done.

I'm the same. So many different meds over the yrs. So many milligrams of drugs just being dumped into our systems. I'm afraid to take a drug test. No telling, what kind of cocktail they may find n my system. Plz stay strong hun. It took me the better part of 20 yrs to become stable and confident enough in my meds.

Every med has side effects I have experienced. I have had chronic insomnia with every med.
