I love all sorts of music ranging from rock to ubeat hip hop. Ive noticed that the music i love is becoming more of a trigger for me. The music sometimes make my heart beat go up and can cause me to start shaking. Music has always been a way for me to cope and i dont wanna give it up my favorite songs.
For me, it's the VOLUME of the music. I love almost all types of music, but when it's amped up too loud, that can cause a seizure. When I was in college (30 years ago), I was the driver for my friends to go to concerts. They'd buy me a ticket, I'd drive, they'd get drunk and we'd all have a good time. They watched out for me.
I actually watched a mystery diagnosis or diagnose me (it was one of them) on it it's called musicogenic epilepsy. The way the lady on the show beat it was with surgery. I don't know much about it otherwise but that is really Terrible because music is literally everywhere and it's even worse when you like it so I wish you luck!🤞
I feel the same way . For absolute sure . It’s like loud noises make me have anxiety and then stress and the stress causes the seizures
In the early 70's Herbie Hancock released the album Head Hunters. From the album is a tune called Vein Melter which in those days the length of including auras, seizures and recovery would last close to 6 minutes of the 9 minutes song. I wouldn't recommend listening to the tune in the dark which i always did or if you are sensitive to noises that may trigger a seizure. I just recently heard the album for the first time since 1980's and no seizures.
I'm a 1980's hair band girl. I love all kinds of music but Metallica, Motley Crue and Ozzy are some of my favorites. I used to be able to crank it up. My husband is also a huge rock and roll fan and even some harder music. Since my seizure coma incident I haven't been able to listen to music loud anymore. I can still enjoy some of it but it can't be cranked up like I used to like it. More recently I find myself actually listening more to talk radio. My suggestion would be to try and listen to it with the volume a little lower and see if you can tolerate that better.
