Seizures can start again on the other side. I've talked to probably 15 people who wanted to have surgery and one did start having seizures on the other side after surgery.

I had a right anterior lobectomy in 1988 and can say for me it was well worth it. My problem after surgery was taking myself off of medication a feel normal instead of sleepy all the time and what a great feeling BUT I did have a few seizures until I told my neurologist about it and told me to go back on at least Dilantin and I was able to drive again and even got a commercial license for over 20 years and drove trucks, limo's . School buses, Operated heavy Equipment and drove Motor Coach for my final 5 years. I am now 66 years of age.

I was under the knife again in 2018 but, even with improved surgery technology, the section of the brain that had scar tissue was still unable to be removed. 😔 They had to go with option 2 which was to implant the RNS.

Unless they are able to cut that section of the brain out
