Is it possible to have a 2nd temporal lobectomy?
Anything is possible. But to be sure talk to your neurologist.
They would not have been able to do anything to the left Temporal Lobe, because it is dominant. There I remember, speak, move, and many other important things. Many years later I had the tests. There was no Surgery because in the Occipital Lobe there was another site. As that area has to do with vision, everyone agreed that was not possible.

I mean, it is possible. There are a lot of variables. When I had my surgery I was told that if removing a part of my temporal lobe did not work they would take a different approach. There are many other forms of brain surgery used to combat epileptic seizures. My neurologist said instead of opening my skull back up they would instead drill a hole and use a laser to cauterize any remaining brain tissue that was causing seizures. It usually isnt the best idea to go back and remove the titanium brackets and screws they used to put the chunk of skull back in place after the first surgery, yet I wouldn't be surprised if exceptions are possible.
Every surgery varies patient to patient. It is the option chosen for surgery from the surgeon that determines whether or not it will take place.
It is best to have a conversation with your surgeon directly and ask questions about what concerns you. Only you and the surgeon can have this discussion.
