For those that drive... I’m sensitive to the bright headlights especially when I’m tired. I drive home and to work when it is most dark out. Is there a type of glasses that help reduce that bright light?
I find that lights in general, driving or especially the fluorescent lights in stores, bother me but they have never set off a seizure for me, just make me feel weird. I feel better just wearing any sunglasses and keeping my body temperature cool.I have nocturnal epilepsy so I have 99.9% seizures when I'm falling asleep, sleeping or just waking up. I've adjusted my life because of this and it helps me to manage along with medication. For example, I never jump right into the shower when I first wake up and when I'm really tired, I don't drive. If I haven't slept well I don't drive. I have had them during the day after no sleep but its rare also, I can feel seizures coming on, I get about a 2-5 minute warning, when I'm awake. I've been 100% accurate with predicting seizures. Mine started at 16.
Yes there is .ask about Zeiss Z1 lens glasses
Uhhh. My first seizure was while driving. I took out 7 cars, a church sign and a fire hydrant. Dr said had to b 6mo seizure free to drive. So if you aren’t seizure free for at least 6mo then maybe you shld take the chance. Not worth killing someone. I pulled out the bike.
I should add, I will wear sunglasses in the rain, on dark cloudy days or even at night. Maybe its weird, to other people but I don't care. As long as it helps the way my head feels and allows me to concentrate better, that's all that matters. It was funny when I ran out of contacts and had sunglasses over glasses for a couple of days, felt like I was 20 years older with blueblockers, ( I think that's what they are called). I think the light stresses me out, especially when I'm tired, sometimes I get headaches from it, or even feel a little nauseous. I hope sunglasses will help you. Its all about managing what works for you.
I have had to put on my sun glasses at work before due to the lights. It's been awhile but no one says anything.
