Lexapro- Pros Cons, Side Effects
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

I just started Lexapro, wondering if anyone experienced rotten side effects starting that got better as your body adjusted to it. And what they were. As of right now im not so sure i want to stick it out to see the 3/4 week mark where its supposed to be beneficial.

I've been on it for yrs. when i started it i cant remember what happened I do remember when it was increased after i had the brain surgery I felt so sick i was all over the place hot and cold. Lethargic. I remember my daughter wasn't well when she started.
I did have serotonin syndrome on the one i was on before the Lexapro. which was very similar. It is quite dangerous. Heart races i was manic which did feel good I was told i was bi polar which was the wrong diagnosis. I cant remember what else was happening. I am also on lamictal for seizures but its also a mood stabiliser

Diane Konig:
One of my doctors put me on PAXIL in the early 1980.
He siad it would help with me losing weight.
It didn't work didn't cut my appitate.
Only drug that ever cut my appitate was Dexedrine.
