Epilepsy and Blue Light Refracting glasses

A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

I am looking into buying blue light refracting glasses, but I want to know if they will benefit me. I heard that they would from a friend of mine since I get frequent headaches from reading from a computer or from looking at my phone so the glasses would pretty much decrease that interaction, but I wanted to know if anyone has them and how they have worked for you.

I know someone who has dark glasses darker than the blue and they help with her migraines and she also uses cool aid stripes that she puts across her forehead to help as well x x

hello , I suffer from migraines and focal epilepsy. I also wear glasses daily due to being short sighted. two years ago I got my prescription with a blue tint ( however don't think there are light refraction🤔). not sure how effective it has been as I'm not totally comfortable wearing the blue tine outside. but it defo offers more comfort if you are light sensitive. finding wearing sunglasses also helps too.

I have transition lenses and I love them. They turn into sunglasses when you go outside. I also have an anti-glare which seems to help with headaches. The new LED lights really play havoc with me during the winter and give me instant headaches at work. Might need to look into those blue glasses. Thanks🙂
