I drink 1/2 a cup full and I'm vomiting and feel a hangover as soon as I drink it. 1 of the problems when people are withdrawing from alcohol is seizures even though they don't suffer from seizures as a rule. Not everyone does but when in a hospital all people who are known to drink are monitored according to a strict criteria and a lot of diazepam is given to prevent them.

My doctor told me to stay away from alcohol and caffeine. I recommend you ask your doctor. He/she might tell you the same thing.

It depends on your system and the level of seizures. From most of what i've read and people i have talked to and my experience, It is best to leave it alone. It will cause triggers that lead to seizures. Along with caffeine.

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member. I've heard that a lot about coffee. I know for myself its a brand of coffee that affects me . Andronicus. Took me 3 days of waking up feeling like a bus hit me before I realised. I still drink coffee

Now I drink a lot of coffee and before my surgeries, the conversation came up about coffee because my parents insisted it was causing me to have seizures. I had my neurologist and 3 surgeons tell my parents coffee wasn't causing me to have seizures, with that said, my parents still insisted coffee caused me to have seizures!!!
