I’m afaid all the time every day, every mintute of the day when i could have one. My doctors now given me new tablets again because ive had so many bad reactions to other pevious tablets. Nothing works for me. I’m always scared...and just to cry 😞
@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member don't cry. i have a saying... 'you could laugh or you could cry... i choose to laugh!'. you will always get that voice that said the 'what if's... seizure version'. you kinda have to joke about it. light hearten joking about your seizures will diminish that fear until it's almost nothing. do not live in fear, you have to overcome that fear. i had SOOOO many meds that didn't work (to long to count). what works for me is the keto diet and vitamins and cbd oil. trust your gut feeling and research anything and everything concerning your seizures. knowing is 1/2 the battle agents fear.
@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member I’m not asleep when they happen but it’s always close to when I would be going to sleep. I rarely drink caffeine anymore ever since my seizures started. I think my triggers are stress, being tired and dehydration.
@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member i was a kid when i had my 1st grand mal. i had idiopathic seizures (they don't know what cause the trigger) for about 5 years. then drs figures i had food seizures. i can't have wheat, rye, and barley. you will get your results. i had seizure every day (sometimes every hour). and now i am seizure free (when i take my vitamins, oils, diets, and meds). so ya... you will beat this but you need research and get your gut feeling and trust your drs.
I am so sorry for you, but please remember you can do this. The symptoms we experience, the auras they are scary causing panic mode. Im sure with the virus we are all experiencing we may all be confronting and adding a little more stress to our lives. I myself have been experiencing the darn auras before bedtime almost everyday. These darn things are very scary to me to point where my arms start shaking. Please remember you can get tgrough this, also remember to breath. I believe when we panic some of us hold our breath, which adds to the stress. Put on a favorite tv show, or listen to some favorite music of yours or even read something, do something that allows you to feel comfortable, i just referenced my tools. I know its not easy but eventually combating these symptoms will come naturally. God bless, and remember Only the strong survive!!! You've made it this far so you are Strong, just need a little strengthening of your defense skills!!!😊😊😊
Yes, I live in fear about when the next seizure is going to happen and how bad it will be. I keep a list of each seizure and what I think the triggers are. It also list medication I am on.
