I know seizures can impact memory loss. But I’m on Levetiracetam Keppra and I’m wondering if anyone else feels like this medication has impacted their day to day memory? I feel like I might have short term memory loss. I might just be over thinking it but I thought I’d ask on here incase anyone can relate?

All the best x

Yes, Keppra and every other AED meds, has side effects of memory struggles. Adding our seizures along with the meds, can make it challenging.

I take keppra also but don't know if it's from that. I've had short term memory lost for about 5 years now and it's becoming long term because of the time going by. It is bad and alot worst after a seizure

I started taking Levetiracetam Keppra about a year now with my Dilantin, which the doc is slowly taking me off the Dilantin, but I feel dizzy at times, haven't had any memory problems that I know of. I'm 66 now. How long have you been on Keppra? I've been on Dilantin & Phenobarbital since I was a young girl. The doc is taking me off the Dilantin cause it can cause Osteoporosis, have been off the Phenobarbital for months & I'm doing great so far. Going to keep me on the Levetiracetam Keppra.

Most AED medications have the side effects with our memory , along with our seizures.
