My daughter had a brain Injury during birth from medical malpractice. Since then she's been having seizures non stop. She's been on phenobarbital since she was born and is proving to be inaffective. We're starting her on a second medicine keprra to see if this works . She's only 9 months old and it seems when she tries to get anything to her mouth or moves her muscles a certain way she has a seizure. Does anyone have any recommendations about what's worked for your child in a situation like this… read more
She rarely has any seizures during feeding time
That good to hear.
First thing you might want to keep an eye on. I she is having seizures during feeding time , you may want to keep an eye on what she is eating. For example. Let’s say your feeding her a baby jar of Carrots and she has a seizure. That may mean there’s something in the baby food, that is triggering her seizures. So what ever you feed her , keep track on what is making her seizure .
With medication it’s a little harder . Everyone’s body Chemistry is different. There are a lot meds on the Market. We all act differently to the meds. Some of us may experience bad side effects, some not so bad side effects. Some of us may have good seizure control . Some of us may not .
It could take awhile to find the right medication or combination of meds. Then there are many of us who have been all or most of the meds and still don’t have 100% seizure control.
