Quick Question Does Your Temperature Effect Your Seizures?
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

I woke with a fever in the middle of the night had about 5 mini seizures before I realized what was happening.

I got up and cooled myself bringing my temperature down. Took awhile for Tylenol to kick in..but once it did I was able to go back to bed without any more incidents. Kinda scary.

When you are sick at all it can affect epilepsy/seizure disorders, but fevers can be even more likely to trigger seizures--one of my neurologists had told me about this.

Could be possible. Might be possible why Jesus has changed me around on my attitude when my epilepsy goes off. When one used to go off, I would be attacking some of the nurses but the seizures have backed off to where I'm not having many much now. Also to let you know, since they've backed off on it, I'm helping out in the building more.

If I have a fever, I certainly am more likely to have a seizure
