I only take Lamictol and hadn't had a seizure until last week. I had taken Dilantin since I was 14, I am 66 now and the Dilantin shrunk my cerebellum and now have a balance problem which will never improve.

Im only on Brand Lamictol and brand tegretol and hav no problem at all and 22 yrs sz free since taking

I had a Left Temporal Lobectomy in 2002.

I have been taking 1800mg of Trileptal since 2000 or 2001, whenever it was a trial drug. The memory issue only became really bad after a seizure/s in 2014.

I just started Lamictal in December. Now at 250mg a day working to 300. The Lamictal hasn’t seemed to make it any worse.

Not sure what your dosage is for each drug but maybe that is something to discuss depending on how well it is controlling your seizures...the whole quality of life thing.
