Can a kenogenic diet mean I could reduce or stop you medication. My seizures a currently controlled with tablets so I'm very lucky but I would still like to reduce or cease taking them to avoid their side effects.

I tried the ketogenic diet for 6 months now (I am 27) and the overall conclusion is that itdid not work for me. My neurologist said also that it most of the time the diet not work in adults. However I still want to try it. Another unpleasant thing: My period is longer and comes now 2 times a month instead of one. So this week I will stop with the ketogenic diet, at least I tried.

before the keto diet i had trouble getting the right meds. when i was on it, 10+years, i went from a lot of meds 3 a day to 2 meds, keppra and phenobarbital, 2 a day. and those 2 meds are as low as you can go. i still had seizures but the diet lesson the seizures.
