How many meds do you take? I take three different ones and unfortunately they can all cause depression or anxiety. I was not anxious before I had epilepsy...I fail to see how it is a mental issue, rather it’s a medicine issue. I will admit that I do get anxious before I go to sleep in case I seize during the night. I am not mental, it’s epilepsy that causes these effects. Unless I misunderstood your comment?

Yes so does depression. All the medications add to it as well. Everyone with a chronic medical issue deals with anxiety and depression of some form. We have a double blow since our brains are affected by the seizures. Try not to let your anxiety over whelm you. It’s hard but you can overcome it. It always passes and you came through it and everything is ok. Take care

Because the title is anxiety and driving I will answer that specific question:

Yes, a lot! when I was on the highway I had a lot of anxiety. I can feel when the seizure is coming, However still I was very anxious when I was on the highway that it will come on that specific moment. Because it results in a lot of stress I choose now to go by bus and train.
