Fycompa
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

Who takes fycompa? How much do you take? And what types of issues with it have you had? I already take Keppra and Lamictal. My doctor moved me back to 2mg. I know that's probably the lowest you can go, but 4 mg is killing me. I can't function hardly from day to day. Why do you have to take it at night? It seems to me like I start to feel a little better during the evening hours. Then I have to take another dose of it. Would I do better to take it in the morning? Any comments would be… read more

Hailey, as long as you're still dizzy from that fycompa, just keep insisting that they decrease your dosage until you don't feel like you're on your "swaying boat".

I am feeling pretty much back to normal today. Still sleepy but that's not really anything new. Lol. I have a card that my doctor gave me to use with insurance to get the fycompa for $10 a month. Otherwise it would be $80. I think I would have to say bye bye to the medicine if I had to pay that much every month.

Fycompa: I had been on a 2mg Fycompa for about a year and suffered from being dizzy quite often and I still had some seizures, but maybe a few less. But weighing the pro's and con's we decided that it wasn't worth the suffering that came with it! WOW!! - - 4mg's!, that must really hit you hard with these side effects! I take Tegretol & Lamictol. I'm now on a lucky streak of 1 month without a seizure. Jeff of San Diego
