Do you feel because you have seizures no matter how well controlled, when you go to a job interview and they require a drug test, you tell them the drugs that may show in there test are for your epilepsy. You can read it in the interviewer face the most they know about our condition is what they see on t.v. Thrashing about foming at the mouth, uncontrollable.

Terrible if I didn’t lie I would have never got in GM.. I worked on assembly line for years then became a electrician that I wanted to be. In time I was sent to jobs by myself working with live wires. There was times I felt a sz coming so I sit down and Kaye’s my tools down then after 10 seconds back to work. IWorked 30 yrs and retire 08. If I didn’t lie I probley wouldn’t have a good pension and what I own this day and now 14 yrs sz free

It's better to just tell them in an interview. They need to trust you to tell the truth, and you need them incase of emergency while at work. Plus many jobs need the percentage filled to meet diversity requirements. Epilepsy qualifies as diversity.

I agree that it’s not their business. Just worry if a seizure happens at work it would be nice that they had a fair warning. Well see how it goes this time. We didn’t tell the last employer

I feel Like there’s no need to tell employers until your hired. After hired it’s smart to tell a manager or personnel person in case you have a seizure on the job. It’s very stressful though.
