I take the generic type I take Lamotrigine. it is a lot cheaper but it is the same thing I was okay for 4 years and started have seizures again so he upped to 300mg twice a day he also put me on 600mg of Gabapentin the seizures have slowed down only had 2 since taking he said sometime your body gets use to the meds and they stop working so you have to up the dosage and try other things until the stop and yes I have a hard time sleeping I am on Ambien but don't take it all the time because my family doctor told m it can be very addictive so I don't take it very much at all. It helps I take it on the weekend because I tend to stay up late like most people do.

I take Lamictal & Vimpat. I've taken Lamictal about 10 years now. I used to have HORRIBLE Migraines but they stopped when I started the Lamictal. However, the seizures did not stop & got worse.

I've tried other meds & they have not worked. Namely Keppra. When my Vimpat runs out I'm moving to Zonisamide

Does anyone have any experience with Zonisamide?
