What is the main difference of the Atkins vs the Modified Atkins Diet? I'm confused.

Here's a link for you to read.
I personally don't believe in doing ANY of the diets on your own. I think your blood levels need to be monitored by a dietician/ nutritionist before and during the diet.
You need to be 100% committed to the Keto or MAD diet. According to my epileptologist, cheating even a little is a green light for seizures to increase.

i took the advance Atkins Diet, you first have to get a week in the hospital. starving yourself, no food and a lot of water everyday for 4-5 days. then a exact amount of food. certain foods at certain hours. high fats no carbs. we have a weighing scale for years. if you "cheat" a little, you have to start a square 1 with the hospital with the starving.

When I asked my epileptologist what alternative treatments to use since trying to learn new things was potentially a trigger based on how I'd try and she said MEDITATE more. Years ago I learned a simple way of explaining it to resistant clients I was treating- praying is talking to your Higher Power and meditating is listening

I don't like taking "pills".. treating the symptoms & dealing with the side effects? Suck. It's why I studied Cultural Healing Methods as an Anthropologist. Natural remedies are infinite, our bodies can heal.

One of my last efforts to avoid surgery a third time was the modified atkins diets which was basically start in the first/initiation phase and stay there as it would be a way to reduce carbs but not be as extreme as the Keto diet. It didn't work. As I keep asking the epileptologist for non-allopathic treatments she tokd me the Ketogenic diet via a pill is on the horizon but I missed out on the trials because I was doing the modified Atkins diet. In a nutshell you have to follow SAD (standard American diet) and take a "diet" pill
