For my epilepsy, I have VNS Therapy and take one medication. For the PNES, I have been making lifestyle modifications to reduce stress- this includes something as dramatic as making plans for a career change in the future! I try to exercise, and that helps a lot, but what helps even more is a very strict sleep schedule. Routine is good for me.

I have epilepsy which is treated with meds.I also have seizers from low blood sugar. There is no meds for that.I have to snack on something every 2 to 3 hrs and i carry packs of glucose EVERYWHERE.in my purse,in the car,in each room of my house.Sometimes you have only seconds to get to that glucose. I also have an injection in my purse in case i'm unconscious and can't swollow.Honestly the low blood sugar scares me more than the epilepsy. My husband used to watch me and he knew when it was falling and swing into action. He passed away last year so now i live alone and i'm so afraid of not being able to get to something in time.
