Calming Down
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

Idk if anyone else will feel the same
But once I feel a seizure about to happen I get really nervous and stressed.
If y'all feel the same what do you do to calm yourself down?
Thanks

I count to myself in my head & take slow deep breaths. I usually find it calms me down. If it doesn't & I'm in bed I sit up & eventually the feeling of feeling unwell, buzzing in the head & not being able to speak for me helps. Good luck xx

Stop what you are doing. Take slow deep breaths. 7-10
Breath in,1-2-3-4; hold 1-2-3-4, release 4-3-2-1. In 1-2-3-4.......
Only focus on breathing. Your back burning everything and focusing on the moment.

I usually stop what I'm doing , sit down and clear my mind , relax, maybe listen to some radio or music . Once I feel relaxed I go back to what I was doing.
