I do, but it's normally mild. I just make sure for the little things like keys, they have a place they always go. So when I get inside my apartment, the antique quaker lampstand dude gets the keys put on him. my mp3 headset gets put on it's charging station, etc. Only once or twice have I woken up with a memory blank. I promptly went back to sleep. When I woke up later, my brain had reset. That was definitely creepy though. I think it had a lot to do with hormones, lack of sleep and stress.

I can relate to that too, you can be in a room full of people and still feel alone. Epilepsy is very hard to describe to people I don't know what a seizure feels like I only know how I feel after. You are not alone you have lots of US. Hope you have a good night, sleep well xx

My epilepsy is actually post traumatic from my car accident, which left me with memory problems. I don't remember anything. It's really hard to describe, because I could play it off totally fine and you wouldn't know. And I'm not even saying I'm trying to play it off really. I live my day to day things and know or remember main things as they happen however, But I forget my life. I don't really remember any of it.
And so I don't remember details about other peoples' lives by any means. My boyfriend and two roommates knew I had a "memory problem" but after a few months of living with me, he was talking about some canoeing or rafting thing we all did. I replied with how much fun that would be to do. They all stared at me. That was the first time they really realized it was that bad.
I set myself alarms on my phone to alert me when to do things. If I write something down and don't look at it at the right time, it doesn't do anything for me :) But I do write myself notes about everything. They are all over my dresser, in my notepad in my purse. I wouldn't know what to do without my boyfriend, my parents, sister, or friends. I have gotten to be a lot more independent over these past 13 years, but it's really difficult sometimes and I definitely do get depressed about it.

I would recommend doing simple things like playing memory games, playing mahjong.and other memory building games you can find on Play Store.

I suffer short-term memory loss from my meds and it got worse after surgery. One of the things I noticed after surgery is I also lose my temper over it. I tend to hate myself and get humiliated when I tell people the same things over again. I started saying "Did I tell you about...." (99% I did). I am getting counseling for this. I also noticed that regular exercise has helped me a lot.
