I have just been taken off zonisamide as it controlled my appetite a lot, like I started eating one meal a day and it wouldn't even be huge meals. The bigger the dosage, the more the medication gave me a depressed side affect. I went to the doctors about this as I was having suicidal thoughts, so now I'm on Sodium Valproate. I also still had seizures while on zonisamide, I don't think I've had a seizure since middle of December which is the longest ever in 4 years!

Side Effect wise I am doing great but hasn't stopped my seizures. I am being weaned off of vimpat because the two together make me feel vertigo.

Thanks for the info so for its been. So so with the siezures but its not long I've been. On it hopefully it will work I've been on the. Sodium valproate it didn't work along with alot of other meds I'm hopeing this one will

Wait 10 years, Vimpat will have a generic.As far as Zonisamide, i just got weind off it. Most likely u will do good.Didnt work well with me. I havent had much luck on a Secondary Med with my lamictol. 38 years of just being on one med. Keppra, and Zonisamide had negitive side effects with me, but everyone is different.
