I have seizures my 13 year old daughter doesn't. Does anyone know where I can find a support group for her? She does really good at dealing with my seizures but I know she wishes she could talk to other kids that have parents with epilepsy.
My little sister deals with both i and my mother having seizures, maybe we can have them exchange numbers or become friends on fb so they can talk?
contact the epilepsy foundation, they may be able to give you a local support group, depending on the size of your town
Well.... my daughter is 12 and has to deal with a LOT regarding my seizures. I don't know about any support groups and I can try to research them.... HOWEVER... if we talk a bit then maybe our girls can exchange emails and chat... maybe talk on a suitable chat program or MAYBE text once we get to know each other more? Shes been through a lot seeing me through this struggle so she may help ease your daughter's fears (we try to make light of what I do/say during my seizures.... make it kind of "funny," ya know?) Let me know and we can talk more hun :)
I'm trying to start a support group.but I don't know how. I've had seizure's all my life. Many meds and . operations . I'm 45 years old and have to healthy young boys.(18 and 22) my baby just graduated and has started to working.
I think my daughter would enjoy that. Thank you. She trys to sometimes use humour to deal with it but I see the struggles underneath.
