I was on both Lamictal (brand name of Lamotrogine) and Topamax when I had my son. He came out perfect.

No, But I was on Tregretol and Phenobitbatol back in the 1980's when I had my Two Daughters! The only side affect my First Daughter had was the Shakes or jitters which took Two weeks to wear out of her system, and She was Born Healthy, along with my Second Daughter who was born Healthy also with No Side efforts at all! I am now on Tegretol and Neurontin for my Epilespy!

Hiya, I'm on Keppra and my doctor was pretty clueless. He's written to a neurologist for advice. Just wondered what to expect should I be lucky enough to conceive. Did you have a natural birth? Did altering meds effect work etc?xxxx

I have a healthy 3 year old who I had while taking lamotrigine and breastfed for 18 months on it. Lamotrigine levels do tend to drop during pregnancy so need monitoring. I started on 300mg and ended on 600mg. I'm 35 weeks pregnant with my second now but taking keppra this time and have been seizure free so fir me keppra has been better in pregnancy.

Yes, but only after my second trimester. I didn't take anything during the first two trimesters. He was born perfectly healthy, weighing 7 lbs. 14 oz. He's 18 months now. I was very blessed not to have many issues with my seizures during my first and second trimester, but if I had and my baby was at risk, I would have taken it then.
