I have been on seven different medications to control my seizures. After having a status epilepticus seizure for half an hour in VEEG. My neurologist finally agreed that the meds were the problem. I have had every sever side effect regardless of which medication I am on. Has this happened to anyone else?

How do you deal with taking a new medication. I get so nervous and worried that I don't want to take them. I'm scared of side effects.
I never read the leaflet of any meds unless I feel weird or something. Then I will look to see if the side effect has anything to do with the meds or if it's something else

My son is switching from trileptal to zonegran currently. He just started having issues sleeping at night the last week or so - he is now taking 150mg of zonegran at bedtime and is weaning off trileptal (now at 600mg AM and PM). Will be checking blood levels of both the end of this week before our next decrease of trileptal.
Has anyone had insomnia on zonegran? If so, did moving it to AM help at all?

I have been on Vimpat and Zonisamide for about ten years and I’ve had insomnia as long as I’ve been on these meds. I’m demanding a medication change now

So my medication is getting changed because of my liver, I was wondering if anyone had been on any of these? Lacosamide Zonisanude Perampanel Topiranate I want to know what kind of mood changes everyone has had and side effects? One of these is going to be the next one I’m on and I don’t want to choose another one that makes aggressive or anything, thank you in advance!

My son this past month has been having verbal behavioral outbursts and physical aggression towards my husband and I. After he calms down he will say "what". Is this another complication of Epilepsy or from his Impulse disorder? This is so hard and I do not know how to help him.
I am on lexapro to help with that.
Hi, I’ve just switched from Keppra to Brivaracetam. I couldn’t cope with the emotional side effects, all self directed keppra rage, self harm which is been clear from for nearly 20 years, suicidal ideation, it really wasn’t much fun. I’m only three days in to Brivaracetam but I already feel calmer. A bit dizzy and tired but I’m really hoping that’s going to pass once my body gets used to it.
