In the past I've stored my tablets in a tablet box, but recently I've been moved to Sodium Valproate which is stored in little vacuum sealed compartments, only to be removed just before taking.
Has anyone got any tips on storing these tablets in a way I can monitor taking them?
Ok thanks
Apologies if this has been answered before. I'm on a cocktail of meds ,that don't work The neurologist took me off fycompa last thing at night & added extended release Sodium valproate ,300 mg then up to 500mg at night.I know all medications can cause balance & uncoordinated movements but since I've been on the 500 mg I' be had 4 falls ( not seizures) in as many months I have to be careful as I have osteopaenia. My clusters of partials have increased from 24 to 36 hours as well I have emailed… read more

Just type in the search box 'long term side effects" that will tell you them if there are any. If want to know all just type in search box side effects of name of med it will tell all.

My son had a big seizure, his mouth was very wet with frothy blood stained spit. The Buccallam didn't seem to work, probably because it wasn't absorbed. Epistatus is a lesser amount and absorbed more readily I have been told
He needed oxygen for 30 minutes to get his sats back up. Thank God the paramedics got there quickly
He may need to go back on Sodium Valproate, it's the only one that stopped the seizures. He is Autistic with learning difficulties. So complex and vulnerable. Anyone else… read more
I am on Sodium Valproate, alongside Keppra, Topiramate, Pregabalin, and Vitamin D3 with Folate(as my body gets stripped of both). For rescue meds I either get oral Clobazam, or Diazepam.
If this is temporary when does your appetite increase and the dreaded weight gain start?
I've been talking Lamotragine for 2wks after being on Keppra.
I've expecting bad side effects. Tremors, sickness.
Has anyone else had these side effects and how long did they last.
What is the best medicine to use as a substitute of Keppra when a woman wants to get pregnant and she is 11 years seizures free and on Keppra 500mg twice a day?
^ listen to Margery. I lost my boy 13 years ago today full term on sodium valproate, Dilantin and carbamazepine
Keppra is a leader in safe anti epileptic drugs for pregnancy. I've been waiting for… read more
I had blood tests done. Important indicator - Valproate (is 4 times less than the smallest permissible limit)
And TSH Thyroid hormone, which is 1.5 times above the norm. I know valproate is an important indicator and low values lead to seizures. I drink Konvulex chrono-DEPAKIN (in 800 mg per day, but apparently not enough. How many of you take DEPAKIN?
In what weights? In combination with what drugs?
I am not a doctor to give you advise on this matter.
Hope all turns out ok.
Have a blessed day.
