Hi there ladies & gents. I have just joined this group and it seems really nice and welcoming
I was going to ask something, has anyone had any sort of memory trouble when taking the lamotrigine medication? I was on 100mg 3 times a day and my memory really did seem faint. I was getting really worried about this but the doctors didn't really do anything about it. I have had the lamotrigine decreased as I am taking a higher dose of keppra now but really would like someone to write back if they… read more
Your welcome . Happy to hear that it help. I wasn’t even sure if I was clear at explaining.
I took Dilantin for a few years as a child. I'm not sure why my doctor switched me from Dilantin to Tegretol, but I'm assuming it's because I broke through on it. I really liked it, but I suppose what I'm on now is best for controlling my seizures.
Mine is 300mg bid
Only 2 grand mals since 2015 and monthly absence seizures
That doesn't matter what another person dosage is. I say that because the number of milligrams you take, of a medication, goes by your medical history, weight, age, and height to tell how many… read more
I'm on trileptal & lamical. Was wondering if anyone has problems with memory? I'm thinking of asking my neurologist if can start decrease my trileptal (bad memory problems) & increase my lamical. Anyone solely on lamical & had good results.
I also have problems remembering. My sister says I'm getting older. Is it from the medication?
I was wondering if anyone on here take Lamictal (Lamotrigine), and has found an effective method of birth control, other than an IUD. I used to take pills, but now they are saying they decrease the effectiveness of the Lamictal, and they keep pushing for an IUD, and I will not get that. Lol
I did the depo shot it was called.
Hello, i was asking myself if there were other people who use lamictal and have gained weight. I started in december and have been gaining weight ever since. It is just strange that i am becoming a fatty because of meds, So has anybody got some solutions to counter the weight gain?
I have been taking Klonopin two times one during the day and one at night for the last month. I take Lamotrigine 300 in the morning and 60mg of cymbalta for years for depression. I have a birthmark surrounding my left eyelid and left front forhead. Lately my left eyelid swells up everyday. I have Sturge Weber Syndrome also which causes seisures also.Thank you
Have any of you experienced shortness of breath with Lamictal withdrawal? Unfortunately I had to stop Lamictal immediately due to purple rash on my back, sores on my throat and I had fever blisters on my lips.
It's day 2. No seizures having a hard time breathing. I do have asthma but trying to avoid using the inhalers. Upping my CBD usually helps this choking, shortness of breath feeling I have if it's seizure related its not. I used my inhalers yesterday they didn't work
I lowered my dose of Lamictal when I went on extended release. I have been feeling like I can't catch my breath, especially if I go on a walk or just something that uses any energy.
I have been on Lamictal since July of last year. After we got to the dosage my doctor wanted, we found that my level runs on the low side. It still is in the therapeutic range but some days it dips low from being off by an hour when I take it and I start getting auras and absence seizures. The doctor gave me two options: take lamictal three times a day or switch to Lamictal XR. I thought there was only brand name lamictal XR so I opted for 3 times a day until I discovered lamotrigine ER a.k.a… read more
