I’m sorry to say this but temporal lobe epilepsy did give me short term memory loss for good. Before I had epilepsy I was a smart kid who could remember lots of things. When I read a story I could tell my mom everything about it. However, the very moment I started having temporal lobe epilepsy, at age 10, I no longer could remember a thing. I’m now in my 40’s and I still can’t remember anything as I continue to have seizures. I’ve heard how the temporal lobe is where the hippocampus is located. The hippocampus is the part of the brain that stores memory or remembers things. So the dead brain cells in my temporal lobe caused me memory loss forever.
