Members connected over the frustration of double-checking prescription refills and feeling like a burden when following up with doctors or pharmacies. Several members shared helpful strategies like setting up automatic refills with home delivery, keeping a monthly log of medication dates, and refilling prescriptions well ahead of running out to avoid gaps. A recurring theme was that staying proactive and double-checking is necessary because mistakes do happen, and finding a reliable pharmacy or home delivery program can make managing medications much less stressful.

I went to the doctor last week and got the usual ok we'll continue your meds but had to call yesterday since the pharmacy never received it. In this day and age I believe things are so automated that more mistakes like this will keep happening. Sure they put it in the computer but Oops! they didn't push the send button 😒

"Unnecessary" questioning could be annoying - it's good to have
medications etc pre-packed and delivered to your home. Keep a written diary
- it helps to record Drs appointments giving an indication when new
prescriptions are due. Don't get "bogged" down with paperwork - ask
insurance companies and other key third parties to give you plenty of
notice when renewals are due. This allows time to check out other companies
- look for better deals etc. Do what suits your needs - if necessary, have
an Advocate handle your affairs.
