I know for a fact when I don’t feel right but it’s like I’m skipping moments. Remember blips here and there like I know was in the shower but I may not remember getting in etc.

Its nice of your neighbors to look out for you but youd be safer living with others so they can help you. Ask your parents what youre doing. A doctor can also find out for you. Good Luck

If I lived alone I wouldn’t even know I had epilepsy. I’m unable to drive and do so many other things so my parents are looking into assisted living facilities for the future when they’re gone

Figuring out your seizure type matters because it can help guide the right treatment. Here are some ways to get closer to an answer:
- Ask your neighbors to observe and note what they see when they find you — body position, movements, whether you're responsive, how long it lasts
- Keep a seizure diary or use an app like Seizure Tracker to log what you notice before and after each episode — confusion, soreness, headache, bitten cheek, etc.
- Talk to your neurologist about video-EEG monitoring, which can record brain activity during a seizure to identify the type The clues you notice *after* coming around — like confusion, fatigue, sore muscles, or a bitten cheek — can actually tell your doctor a lot too. Write everything down, even the small stuff. The more detail your doctor has, the better they can help pinpoint what's happening and adjust your care plan.
