Are you experiencing uncontrollable body movements and hand spasms related to epilepsy?

These types of movements can be associated with several seizure types. Here's a quick breakdown:

- Myoclonic seizures – sudden, brief jerking or twitching of the arms, legs, or upper body, sometimes happening in clusters
- Clonic seizures – rhythmic, repetitive jerking movements, often affecting the arms, face, and neck
- Tonic-clonic seizures – involve stiffening followed by jerking or shaking movements, usually with loss of consciousness
- Focal motor seizures – involuntary movements limited to one part of the body, like an arm or hand Hand-specific movements can also appear as automatisms — involuntary, repetitive actions like hand-wringing, waving, or picking at objects or clothing. These are common during focal impaired awareness seizures.

It's really important to track when these movements happen, how long they last, and whether awareness is affected. Sharing this information with a neurologist can help identify the seizure type and adjust treatment if needed.

Many of us experience something after a seizure.
Every now and then my hands and fingers tremble , as if I was having nicotine fit. And I don’t Smoke cigarettes, after a seizure

If my hands and fingers arn’t trembling , my heart will race like I just raced a marathon. Also after seizures
