Members discussed whether taking epilepsy medication exactly at the 12-hour mark is necessary, with most agreeing that staying close to that window matters but slight delays are common. Many community members shared practical tools to stay on track, including phone alarms, weekly pill organizers, medication apps like PILLO, and automated pill dispensers, with some members relying on spouses or caregivers for extra reminders. A recurring theme was that timing sensitivity varies by person, with some members experiencing auras or breakthrough seizures when doses were delayed, while others had more flexibility.

I keep my phone with me almost all the time and use the iPhone Health app to remind me what time to take it.

I do not take my medication exactly at the 12 hour mark but close enough not to make a huge difference.

I wake up at 5 am without an alarm since my body is so used to it but I don't take my night dose until 9 it helps me fall asleep and I've never had any issues

That should be okay if taken within a 3 hour period.
