Many community members responded to the question about excessive sweating before a seizure, with most confirming that heat is a significant trigger for their epilepsy. Several members shared personal experiences including feeling boiling hot followed by chills, sweating heavily in humid outdoor conditions, and even hot showers triggering episodes. A recurring theme was the importance of staying cool through air conditioning, staying hydrated, taking frequent breaks outdoors, and being mindful of weather conditions like UV index and humidity levels.

Heat has been a common trigger for me. Whatever that may cause hyperventilating could cause a seizure for me.
