I’ve had seizures since I was 12. So I knew I would not have the inability to drive at a young age. But I grew up on a farm and this has been my source of income all my life but I am afraid farming is going to 🔥 and I’ll have to find some other source of income

I had my first noticeable nocturnal seizure, in 2014, only noticed by my wife, where I had to surrender my driving licence, had to be seizure free for 12 months, before I could request it back, after having another seizure, I returned my licence , not required again,I was then 53yrs, I was offered a package from my place of work, which I took, until my private pension, was allowed to be used, For day to day living I use my pensions and and my payment pot, working it to lasts till state pensions age, the bulk of the bills and other payments are paid by my wife, who stills works, slightly embarrassed about that. I do get a mobility allowance, and free bus pass to travel in UK, and free tram and train, regional area.
I was 50 when I got my license.
My parents used to drive me to church every Sunday. Then they moved and now my sister drives me to church every once in a while. I don’t want to ask anyone that goes to my church for a ride because the closest ride lives several miles away.
That's good.... still be careful when driving
@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member, Yes. I usually drive for everyone else. Usually, twice a week I drive to church and back. For me, church is a 40 minute drive one way!
