award about wearing something like that away from home. Partly I feel like it’s advertising my medical condition plus other things as well. I haven’t even gone as far as wearing them around home yet. Members connected around the question of whether wearing epilepsy awareness shirts or sweatshirts feels uncomfortable, with many sharing that they understand the hesitation but have come to see it as spreading awareness rather than advertising a personal condition. Several members shared practical ways to engage with awareness, including wearing shirts at charity 5K run/walk events, ordering custom shirts with loved ones' names, and even upcycling unworn shirts into pillows or blankets for home conversations. A recurring theme was that wearing awareness clothing is a personal choice, and members encouraged one another to feel proud of their resilience while acknowledging that everyone's comfort level and experience with epilepsy is uniquely their own.
