Members confirmed that family members can be paid to provide care for someone with seizures, with several noting that county programs exist specifically for compensating family caregivers and that SSDI may approve payment arrangements if a doctor evaluates and verifies the need for assistance. The conversation evolved into a deeply supportive exchange between two members who discovered they share similar seizure types and life experiences, offering each other encouragement about their worth and the challenges of living with epilepsy since childhood. A recurring theme was the importance of connection and not feeling alone in the struggle, with members emphasizing that access to care and independence often depends on family support, medical documentation, and navigating disability programs.

A Family Member can be a Caretaker, and I think they can be paid. The ammount of services provided is worth a great deal of money.

Don't beat yourself up--- You will, I see it in you>>> It's not you, you just weren't given a chance--- My family didn't treat me much differently than the rest of them>>> They wouldn't let me give in--- But, I've had a long road, I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy>>> I've made mistakes, the wrong choices that taught me about life. Remember, you're awesome ♥️ 🎶 😉
