Hallo Dave .. Jen and me be going back to running 5K and 10K research funding races again ., actually best I ever be able to do is fast shuffle walk on my remaining leg and special arm crutches that be helping me to lean forward more and balance better ., always with my Jen at my side to prevent a fall .. we support both epilepsy and cancer research by walking ., each lap you do the sponsors match to raise money for research ., yeah, I get asked a lot ., why no prosthesis? Can't you be a blade runner? For that you need two things ., first the strength to swing that heavy prosthesis ., and second enough stump to attach it to ., I have neither ., at 6'2" and 139 lb I have barely the strength to walk some days ., still .. I have my Jen beside me ., and each lap we finish counts .. so ., we will be out there! ., hugs to all from WIlliam and Jen💜💙🤗🤗🕊

If the opportunity presents itself, I’m game to do something new specially now that I’m not in the-40’s anymore-Thank God! I also want to go out and reconnect with some old friends that I haven’t seen in a long while. Otherwise I’ll take it as it comes

I just wanna get back to the old routine. I either went for a 4-mile walk or a 20-mile bike ride (weather permitting) five times a week. But then in a three-year span, I had seven surgeries and haven't done much since 2021. So when the weather breaks, I'm gonna try it again.

Good post! I've been fishing my whole life. Can't and won't stop. I mostly fly fish and I always fish with someone in case I need help. Besides it's nice having company. The scenery is also beautiful. And remember as Thoreau said "Many men go fishing all their lives without knowing that it is not fish they are after." Good luck!
