Members warmly responded to a question about asking others to be friends on the site, with the general feeling being that this community is welcoming and supportive. Several members shared personal stories, including one touching account of a shy member whose wife encouraged him to make the first move in friendships, a lesson he now applies here. A recurring theme was that reaching out can feel scary, but patience and persistence matter since many members are shy or dealing with their own struggles, and connection makes a real difference.

When someone would like to add me to their team they have asked me just as I have asked them in return.
