You can try working from home.
There are very few jobs that they can find that we can safely do when we are still having seizures. This is why many are given disability if they have active epilepsy. I had a long journey to get it, but I was finally put on disability, then years later, I was able to have the brain surgery and started my journey in the other direction. I am now more than 11 years seizure-free and over halfway towards my Master's! Things that all doctors and surgeons said would never be possible. For me, that was just more incentive to try it! I do get frustrated with those who insist that we don't have disabilities because they are not seen! That is so outdated, and I want to smack them! I finally got a different teacher for the second semester, so this should be better! Never giving up!
@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member I asked my neurologist about this, because I was trying to work out if there was any type of medical definition for when your able to work but still prone to having seizures especially when there not really under control. Amazingly I was told no. Which makes it hard. Its ok if your seizure free but if you are prone to having them it can be very hard to explain that when you need to tell the employer.
I would go to your county Human Resource Center. See a DRS Counselor. ( department of rehabilitation )services, ) . Get some help and advice.
I'm in the same boat dude. Good luck...
