Members responded to a question about whether to follow through with a colonoscopy and other suggested medical procedures, with many sharing that colonoscopies are manageable and the prep is the hardest part. Several members described weighing the pros and cons of bigger procedures like brain surgery, chemotherapy, and bypass operations, with some choosing to decline treatments they felt wouldn't benefit them and others finding life-changing results after saying yes. A recurring theme was the importance of trusting your own body, having honest conversations with your doctor, and leaning on faith and community support when facing tough medical decisions.

I understand. That is why I love this group. All of you understand, more than anyone else. I mean people who do not have epilepsy.

Colonoscopy is not brain surgery. The hardest part is the prep the day before.

Just think of your colonoscopy as part of growing up. I have to have one every three years, or more frequently if my gut starts acting up.
