They tried to prove that mine were period involved, because there are people who have that problem, and when I was just diagnosed, this was an easy answer. They even put me on a pill to "regulate my period," even though mine happened every month like clockwork, and it was never wrong. When that pill did not change the seizures, and I had more seizures because they took me off the "normal seizure medicine," they decided the period was not the problem. I spent more than 10 years unable to drive or do a lot of things, till they finally allowed me to have my brain surgery. I am now more than 11 years seizure-free. I am working on my Master's and breaking all expectations!
I also had to have a hysterectomy, that also doesn't help with seizures because our bodies go through so many transitions, especially menopause
Not me anymore, I ended up with cancer on my left ovary and cervix so they took all that out when I was 27, they told me I would go through early minapouse and it's true, I can't remember if had more seizures when I was on my period it's been a long time since I had one
Do they still occur for you around this time.
they gave me a "mini pill" at age 13 for this. needless to say, it never worked. But they kept me on it. I no longer take it and I'm 26 now.
