Sean ur nether one of the way u feel. I too went through a really bad depression and I forced myself to look at why I was feeling this way, and it didn’t make matters any better with my slumlord refusing to clear the road so I literally couldn’t leave my house for months. That and the fact that I couldn’t even shovel my own gate open enough that I might be able to walk out far enough to walk to the road and have freedom didn’t help either. My license was taken from me as well as my ability to work. And then so called friends stopped calling or coming over, so I feel ur pain on those things. Try to remember though that ur not a hindrance to anyone or nor should u think u are. I can understand why u might think this way but rest assured ur not. Ur worthy of being happy and enjoying life. I hope u have a great holiday season surrounded by ur loved ones- u deserve it !!
If I was expected to get them after a short time not having one then I probably still would but in terms thinking "oh dam my goal of being long term seizure free" I probably wouldn't be as worried about that because this isn't really possible. But as things are for me, I am going for long term seizure free so this would be a big issue.

That’s the same page alright. I feel like things would only be better without me. I’m still living the life of a kid sitting in my room. Things have not changed my whole life so I ran into a dead end a long time ago. Was it worth living on?

I know what you mean. I’m 44 years old but I’ve had epilepsy ever since I was 10. I have never been able to drive nor work much so I’m still a child living with their parents. I feel like life is worthless
Harley, we’re not saying that we don’t care about having epilepsy or seizures. We’ve simply saying we don’t let them bother or embarrass us. We know we have limitations- I can’t work, drive; lost “friends “, and everything else. We are simply not allowing it to shame or bother us. And since we don’t have any control over whether we have one, after doing everything possible we can not to have a seizure; we shouldn’t be made to feel like we’re “less than “ just because we had a seizure. I was brought up talking care of my older brother after he had a seizure, and it was normal for me So when I got my diagnosis, I didn’t think twice about it. Unfortunately I was the only one who didn’t outgrow my epilepsy like either brother or my mother did. Mine is progressively becoming worse, and I still don’t let it bother or bring me down nor do I think I should be made to. I can’t control it; so if chose not to let it bother me, why should I be made to?????
